Big Careers Little Kids (BCLK) partnered with Cradles to Crayons Chicago to inspect, sort and package donations for children ages newborn to 12 living in homeless or low-income situations. Thanks to the combined efforts of some of BCLK’s Advisory Board Members and their children, we impacted over 100 impoverished children in the Chicagoland-area with the essential items they need to thrive.
On August 10, 2019, BCLK volunteers processed and packaged donated toys in the Cradles to Crayons warehouse, The Giving Factory®. Aligning with their mission to provide every child with the essentials they need to feel valued, we made sure that each donated item was high-quality: not ripped, stained, broken or missing pieces. Cradles to Crayons began with the vision of one individual who was determined to make a difference in the world. Today, the Cradles to Crayons community has grown to include thousands of young people and adults — working together to make a difference in the lives of tens of thousands of children each year.
